1. Information We Collect
The App has no sign-up or login process and does not create user accounts.
- Required information: None
- Automatically collected: device information, advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID), usage logs, service usage records (ad impressions and clicks, etc.), Firebase instance ID, A/B test group assignment, and app event and performance logs
- Collected and transmitted when using the AI Running Mate (optional feature; see Section 3): the chat messages you enter, your display name and any name you give a goal (if provided), your quit profile (cigarettes per day, years and type of smoking, estimated nicotine dependence band), health-related declarations (chronic condition/medication, pregnancy/breastfeeding, mental-health care — if selected during onboarding), and personal facts the mate remembers from conversations along with behavioral usage signals
2. Why We Collect It
- Storing and managing quit progress (quit date, money saved, etc.)
- Syncing and backing up data across devices via iCloud
- Serving Google AdMob ads and measuring statistics
- Analyzing service usage through Firebase Analytics
- Improving the service and optimizing the user experience through Firebase A/B Testing and Remote Config
- Generating the AI Running Mate’s personalized coaching responses
- Usage analysis to improve service quality
3. AI Running Mate (Optional Feature) Data Processing
- AI Running Mate conversations are an optional premium feature. Only when you use this feature is the information listed in Section 1 transmitted to the App’s server to generate a response.
- Transmission and processing path: The transmitted information passes through a server operated by the developer (Cloudflare Workers) and is then forwarded to Anthropic’s language-model service (via Cloudflare AI Gateway) to generate the AI response.
- Retention: The App’s server does not store conversation content in a separate database and does not retain it after generating the response. However, each processing provider (Cloudflare, Anthropic) may retain processing records for a limited period under their own policies for service operation and safety.
- Identifiers: The transmission does not include any login identifier or advertising identifier. However, if you enter a name, that name is transmitted together with the conversation content.
- Your control: You can delete what the mate remembers at any time under Settings > “Clear Mate’s Memory.”
- The App’s usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) do not include conversation content, names, or the specific health-related items; only the type of event and anonymous signals (the selected mate identifier, the count of health declarations, etc.) are sent.
4. Retention and Use Period
- Quit data within the App (quit start date, smoking amount, etc.) is stored on the device and iCloud until you delete it or delete the App.
- Personal facts remembered by the AI Running Mate are stored on the device and retained until you delete them in Settings or delete the App.
- Information collected for advertising/statistics follows the policy of the affiliate (Google).
- Analytics data collected via Firebase is managed according to Google’s data retention policy.
- When you delete the App, on-device data is deleted immediately, and iCloud data is managed according to Apple’s policy.
5. Third-Party Provision and Entrustment
- Google AdMob: ad delivery and performance measurement
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config, A/B Testing): service usage analysis and improvement/experience optimization via A/B testing
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit): cross-device data sync and backup
- Cloudflare: server processing and AI response relay for AI Running Mate requests (Workers, AI Gateway)
- Anthropic: language-model processing to generate AI Running Mate responses
Each affiliate follows its own privacy policy; please refer to the official documentation of the respective service.
6. Your Rights
- You can delete your quit data or the App at any time within the App.
- What the AI Running Mate remembers can be deleted under Settings > “Clear Mate’s Memory.”
- Personalized ad settings can be changed in iOS Settings (Privacy > Tracking, or Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking).
- Firebase analytics collection stops when you delete the App.
7. Security Measures
- The App encrypts and stores quit data via SwiftData and iCloud (CloudKit), following Apple’s security policies.
- Data transmitted via Firebase is encrypted in transit and at rest per Google’s security policies.
- AI Running Mate conversations are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- Permissions such as notifications are used only after your consent.
8. Children’s Privacy
- The App is not intended for children under 14 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
- If a parent/legal guardian believes a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
- This policy may change due to legal or service updates; changes will be announced in-app or in update notes.
- The latest version is available on the page where it is posted.
