EasyQuit Terms of Service
These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the mobile application "EasyQuit" (the "App") provided by Hwang Iksang (the "Developer"), and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Developer and users.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the mobile application “EasyQuit” (the “App”) provided by Hwang Iksang (the “Developer”), and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Developer and users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The key terms used in these Terms are defined as follows.
- “App” means the mobile application “EasyQuit” provided by the Developer.
- “User” means a person who agrees to these Terms and installs and uses the App.
- “Paid Service” means the premium content provided through a one-time in-app purchase within the App.
- “Content” means all quit-smoking insight messages, level progress data, features, and the like provided by the App.
Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)
- These Terms take effect when the App is installed or used.
- The Developer may amend these Terms when necessary and will give prior notice of any change through an in-app notice or update notes.
- Amended Terms take effect within 7 days of the notice. If a user does not agree to the amended Terms, they may discontinue use of the App.
- If a user continues to use the App after the notice of change, they are deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Use of Service)
4-1. Eligibility
- Anyone aged 14 or older may use the App.
- Children under 14 may not use the App.
4-2. Service Composition
- Free: Level 1–2 content and basic features
- Paid: All Level 3–30 content (one-time in-app purchase)
- Users may try the free portion first and then decide whether to upgrade to the paid version.
4-3. Changes and Suspension of Service
- The Developer may change the content, composition, and level structure of the service after prior notice.
- The service may be temporarily suspended for unavoidable reasons such as natural disasters, system maintenance, or technical issues.
- If the Developer permanently discontinues the service, notice will be given via an in-app notice 30 days in advance.
Article 5 (Paid Service and Payment)
5-1. Payment Method
- The Paid Service is provided through the Apple App Store’s In-App Purchase system.
- Payment is a one-time (non-consumable) purchase, not a recurring subscription.
- The price, currency, and taxes follow Apple App Store policy and the user’s country/region settings.
5-2. Purchase Restoration
- If purchased with the same Apple ID, paid content can be restored on another device via the in-app “Restore Purchases” feature.
- Purchases are tied to the Apple ID and may not be restored if the Apple account changes.
5-3. Refund Policy
- Refunds for Paid Service purchases follow the Apple App Store refund policy.
- Refund requests must be submitted directly through Apple Support (support.apple.com); the Developer does not process refunds directly.
- A refund request after substantial use of the content may be declined under Apple policy.

Article 6 (User Obligations)
Users must not do any of the following.
- Reproducing, distributing, or commercially using the App’s content without authorization
- Reverse-engineering the App’s source code, algorithms, or UI
- Misappropriating another person’s account or accessing the Paid Service by improper means
- Interfering with the normal operation of the App
- Violating applicable laws or these Terms
Article 7 (Intellectual Property)
The intellectual property rights to all content contained in the App (text, images, design, software, etc.) belong to the Developer.
Users may use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes and may not use it commercially without prior written consent.
Content generated by the user within the App, such as share cards, may be used only for personal use and social media sharing.
Article 8 (Disclaimers)
⚠ Important: Medical Disclaimer
This App is not a medical device and does not replace medical smoking-cessation treatment.
- The content provided by the App is cognitive-behavioral self-help information, not medical advice or prescription.
- If you have high nicotine dependence or experience health problems during the quitting process, please consult a medical professional.
- The Developer makes no guarantee regarding quit-smoking success resulting from use of this App.
Other Disclaimers
- The Developer is not responsible for service disruptions caused by the user’s fault.
- The Developer does not guarantee the quit-smoking results a user expects from the service.
- The Developer’s liability is limited for issues caused by third-party services (payment, advertising, iCloud) such as Apple and Google.
- The Developer is not responsible for service interruptions due to force majeure such as natural disasters or hacking.
Article 9 (Personal Data Processing)
Matters concerning the processing of users’ personal data are governed by the separate “Privacy Policy.”
The Privacy Policy can be found on the App’s settings screen and the App Store page.
Article 10 (Advertising)
- During the free tier (Level 1–2), ads may be shown via Google AdMob.
- Ads are removed upon purchase of the Paid Service.
- Personal data processing related to advertising follows the Privacy Policy and Google AdMob policy.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)
- These Terms are interpreted and applied under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of a dispute related to use of the App, the Developer and the user shall resolve it through good-faith consultation.
- If no agreement is reached, the court having jurisdiction over the Developer’s address shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction.
